The Road to Tossa de Mar – From Can Negrell

This page explains the most scenic and reliable route from Can Negrell to Tossa del Mar, 

using clear landmarks instead of GPS instructions. The drive takes approximately 15–20 minutes.The road to Can Negrell

1. Leaving Can Negrell

When you leave Can Negrell, you drive uphill.
Follow the road upwards until you reach the main road.

At the main road, turn left.

2. Up, Up, Up to the First T-Junction

After turning left, continue driving uphill.
The road keeps climbing for a while.

Eventually, you will reach a T-junction.

At this T-junction, turn right.

3. Passing the Ermita de Caules 

Shortly after turning right, you will pass a small church (ermita) on your left-hand side.

Continue driving straight.

4. Optional Stop: The Biggest Tree of Catalonia

A little further on, you will see a path on the right-hand side.
This path leads down to the largest tree in Catalonia.

You can stop here if you like, or continue driving.

5. Optional Viewpoint: 360 Watch tower

If you continue driving, you will soon see two paths on the left, closed with a chain:

There is also an information panel at the top.

This stop is optional — continue straight if you are heading directly to Tossa(l) del Mar.

6. Second T-Junction: Turn Left

Continue driving until you reach another T-junction.

At this T-junction, turn left.

7. Passing Can Mundet

After approximately 500–600 meters, you will pass a large building on your left. This building is called Can Mundet.

Drive around Can Mundet and continue following the road.

8. Down into the Valley

After Camudet, the road starts to go downhill.
It gently curves left and right as it descends.

Continue driving until you reach a large road at the bottom.

9. Final Turn Towards Tossa de Mar

At the large road, you will see signs for LLagostera and Tossa de Mar.

Turn right.

This road takes you through a beautiful valley, all the way down to Tossa de Mar.

Arrival

Follow this road until you reach Tossa de Mar.

Total driving time from Can Negrell is approximately 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic.

Enjoy the drive — it’s one of the nicest routes in the area.

Important Note for the Return Drive to Can Negrell

When driving back from Tossa del Mar towards Lloret de Mar, and you want to return to Can Negrell, do not turn left directly from the main road at the halfway point.

Making this left turn directly can put you in a dangerous traffic situation, as cars approach fast from behind.
