Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Travelers who cancel at least 30 days before check-in receive a 100% refund. If they cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, they receive a 50% refund. Within 14 days of check-in, the booking is non-refundable.
Q: What is the security deposit?
A: The deposit is € 300 and is normally returned at check-out. We don’t charge for a few broken glasses — we have always paid the deposit back in full. You’re on holiday, so no worries!
Q: What time is check-in and check-out?
A: Check-in is between 16:00 and 22:00, check-out between 08:00 and 10:00. Arriving outside these hours or want to drop your bags early? Message us — if the apartment is free, we’re happy to be flexible.
Q: Are there any extra costs?
A: There is a one-time cleaning fee of € 50 per stay, not included in the apartment price. Optional extras: bed linen (€ 10 per set), towels (€ 10 per set), baby cot (€ 15) and high chair (€ 10). Tourist tax is charged where applicable.
Q: Is there a minimum age to book?
A: Yes — the lead booker must be at least 23 years old. Families with children of all ages are of course very welcome.
Q: How do I pay, and is booking direct cheaper?
A: On our website you pay safely via iDEAL, credit card or PayPal (Mollie). Booking directly with us is always the best price — cheaper than Booking.com or Airbnb, guaranteed.
Q: What does “off-grid” mean for my stay?
A: Can Negrell runs entirely on solar power and our own spring water. Everything works just as you’d expect — hot showers, fridge, WiFi. We simply ask you to be mindful with water and electricity, as you would in nature.
Q: Is there WiFi?
A: Yes — free WiFi throughout Can Negrell, in both apartments and around the estate.
Q: Is there air conditioning?
A: No, there is no air conditioning. The thick stone walls of the masia keep the apartments naturally cool, and evenings in the hills are pleasantly fresh. Heating is available for the cooler months.
Q: How many people fit in each apartment?
A: Each apartment sleeps up to 5 guests, with two spacious bedrooms. A baby cot and high chair are available on request — children are very welcome.
Q: Can I bring my pet?
A: We don’t allow guests’ pets, as our two friendly dogs already live on the estate — they love meeting new people and might come to say hello!
Q: Can we use the swimming pool and garden?
A: Of course — the large swimming pool and the 1,200 m² enclosed garden are shared by the two apartments, and you’re free to wander all 25 hectares of the estate, with its forest, river and small lake.
Q: How far is the beach?
A: The nearest beaches of the Costa Brava (Lloret, Tossa) are 20–25 minutes by car. In this area you’ll find some of the most beautiful coves of the entire coast.
Q: How far are Girona and Barcelona?
A: Girona is about 25 minutes by car; Barcelona about 45 minutes (tip: park at a train station and take the train into the city). Girona–Costa Brava airport is only 20 minutes away.
Q: Is parking available?
A: Yes, free private parking right by the house.
Q: Is the accommodation suitable for guests with reduced mobility?
A: Wheelchair access is possible — contact us about your specific needs and we’ll think along honestly about what works.
